Chateau de Planchevienne Would you like to live like a lord for the weekend ? If so, then "Chateau de Planchevienne" will fulfil your dream. This beautiful Chateau nestles in 11 hectares of historic wooded parkland. The castle has ten bedrooms, three suites are fully renovated and equipped with all comforts. The ground-floor was completely refurbished in 2009 in its original historic state and decorated with respect to its long history. The castle has kept all its original key features such as beautiful mosaic floors, large chimneys, wood panelling, ornate ceiling plasterwork, elegant chandeliers, and much more. History The construction of the castle was carried out in several phases. It started in the 17th century (east wing and adjacent farm) and was finished in the 19th century (complete west wing with central tower). A century ago, the Chateau was set in more than 400 hectares. |

Park The garden of the castle is carefully maintained. The hydrangea- and buxusparterres blend together and give the garden a distinctive character. A fenced and heated 10-meter pool is integrated on the western side of the castle, in the park you will find several ancient trees. Would you like to enjoy your meal outside ? Then you can choose from the morning-terrace (situated at front of the castle), the sun terrace (by the swimming pool) or the shaded terrace (at the back of the castle), from here you have a beautiful view over the park and the wood. Implantation The property is at 1 km from the race circuit of Magny-Cours and is situated in the centre of the triangle of 3 medieval cities: Nevers - Moulins and Decize. |

Suites The castle has 3 comfortable suites: 1 double suite on the ground-floor with master bedroom with adjacent a childrens room.There is a bath and toilet. The second suite is located on the upper floor in the west wing with windows on the south facade. This suite has a king size bed and a large bathroom with bath, shower and toilet. The third suite is also located on the upper floor in the west wing. It has windows on the west side and is overlooking the pool. This suite has a king size bed with large bathroom with bath and toilet. The fourth suite is located upstairs in the east wing overlooking the front garden. This suite has a king-size bed and a spacious bathroom with bath and toilet. All suites are tastefully decorated with warm colors and equipped with all comforts. All suites have a view on the park and forest and are surrounded by greenery. |

Atmosphere The Chateau has a modern kitchen, a beautiful dining room with a beautiful mosaic floor with fireplace, a spacious entrance hall, large lounge with historic fireplace and luxurious seating and finally a library with fireplace. Throughout the year you will experience tranquillity and beautiful starry nights. In the evening the Chateau bathes in its own light.
